To keep this forum clean, usable, and helpful to others, a set of rules has been put together that we expect all forum members to follow.
• You agree not to use this forum to post any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws. You also agree that you will not post any copyrighted material that is not owned by yourself or the owners of these forums.
•  You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum and their agents with respect to any claim based upon any post you may make. We also reserve the right to reveal whatever information we know about you in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by yourself.
•  Although messages posted are not the responsibility of this forum and we are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. If you do find any posts are objectionable then please contact the forum by e-mail.
•  Post in the Correct Forum! When you post, make sure you do so in the correct forum. Example: If you have an alarm question, please do not post it in the Car Audio forum. Posts made in the incorrect forum are often ignored by those that can help you the most and may be deleted without notice.
•  Research your Post! Make sure you are not double posting, search the forums first. Many questions have already been answered many times.
•  Kill the CAPS! Typing in all caps is considered shouting. Please don't shout at everyone. If you type in all caps, chances are your posts will be ignored by the people that can help you the most. Messages and Topics typed in all caps may be deleted without notice.
•  Be Descriptive and Specific Use a descriptive topic subject and be as specific as possible in your message. Providing more information makes it easier to help you. This will also make searching for similar topics and problems quicker and easier for all members. Try to include year, make and model of vehicle, any relevant model numbers, and the nature of your problem or project in detail.
•  Include Images A picture is worth a thousand words. In many cases your problem can often be solved much faster if you include a diagram or picture. Although it isn't necessary to include any, it can be extremely helpful, especially if you are having problems wiring unique relay set-ups, multiple motors, alarms, remote starts, etc. If you have the wiring diagram of your product or project, please include it. Again, the more information you provide, the easier it will be to help you.
•  Vehicle Information Before you make a request for vehicle information for 2006 and earlier vehicles, please check our Vehicle Information Database. Often the information you want is waiting for you there.
•  Do Not Post Your Topic Twice! Please do not post your topic in multiple forums. Duplicate topics will be deleted and your membership may be suspended.
•  Use Plain Text Editors If you edit or format your posts in another editor before pasting them into the message form, please use Notepadฎ or some other plain text editor. Do not use Wordฎ! Wordฎ includes code that will cause your posts to be displayed incorrectly. These posts may be deleted without notice.
•  Malicious Code Any member that causes script errors by entering any type of code in a message post will be banned.
•  No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments.
• Do not post links to warez, warez sites or sites with pornographic or objectionable content. Only link to sites that are for family viewing only.
• Any post containing any information that may be considered a violation of law or lead to an unlawful act in the United States of America such as injuring or killing someone or aiding in theft may be deleted and your membership may be suspended without notice. This includes bypassing head unit lockout codes, video bypass procedures, automatic transmission remote start units in manual transmission vehicles, etc.
• Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.
• Each forum member may have only one account.
• Personal Attacks Criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.
• Do not use objectionable language.
• Do not dig up old threads. If you want to continue an old discussion (older than 1 month), create a new thread and reference the old one in your post.
• No Blatant Advertising This forum is not free advertising space. Members found violating this policy will be suspended. Posts promoting ebay listings, commercial web sites, etc. will be deleted without notice.
• Politics and Religion This is not a political or religious site, this is a mobile electronics site, please do not post on any issue that may be considered political or religous as someone will always be offended.
