I recently installed a crimestopper 2011rsIII on a 1998 chevy pickup for a friend. He has had it in his truck for about a week. Everything has worked perfectly, until now. He says the alarm and remote start work fine, but now when he drives it seems to have trouble shifting. Is this attributed to the remote start? Wouldn't he have had problems from the beginning, not a week later?
Thanks
Dyer

on the chevy trucks you need to make sure you poower up all three ignition iwres, pink, white,RED / white.  Tell him to stop using the remote start and get it to you, this could end up costing you a bit

Yeah make sure you power up both the pink and white as well as the accessories for extra precaution. If you don't power up the white (second ignition) you'll end up with transmission not shifting properly.

Yes it is an auto trans. I powered all those wires. He called me back and said that everything seems to be working fine now. He says it has happened only once. Should I still be concerned?
