I can't seem to get the door locks in my 99 tahoe to respond. my alarm uses a negative pulse, and my door locks use a positive trigger. I tried positive door trigger wiring and reverse polarity wiring I grounded the wire that is supposed to run to the alarm and get a negative pulse in each configuration and nothing. What kind of door lock wiring system does this car use, 3 wire 4 wire, ect. I even used the diagrams off of the 12volt and wired it that way but still nothing.

I have a 99 tahoe and I need to know the specific location of the tach wire at the ecm under the hood. There are more than one. How would you check with a digital meter to make sure I have the right one. Thanks

  • Set DMM to AC
  • Place red lead to 12 volts
  • Place black lead to target wire
  • Start the vehicle and the DMM should register between 1 - 6 volts
  • Will fluctuate as you feather the accelerator

I found 4 white wires, 3 read about 13.9 volts, and the other reads about .305 volts and spikes up to about .320 or so when I feather the accelerator. Would this one be it.

for your door locks use the crimestopper diagram. I use it and it works all the time. Make sure youpower is a constant power wire for the relay. Hook it up to 87 and 30 to your door lock wire. Make sure the red wire from the door lock harness from the unit goes to pin 86 or 85 and the other one to the green or blue wire. As for your brake wire in the big black connector under the dask with the ignition wires in it there is a white wire in there. That is also a brak wire. Use your dmm to test it as sometimes there is more than 1 one white wire in there. Just ask if you need more help
