i'm getting a two alpine type r 12 inch dual voiice coil 4 ohm...which amps would be better to get jbl 1200.1, two 600.1, or two alpine mrd 500's, i was told that if i get the 1200.1 i would be wiring the subs to a 1 ohm level and the amp couldn't really handle that and to get the 2 amps..which is bettter. And how should i wire it...and untill i get those amps can i use my rockford 400s on those subs...if so how can i wire it

THE JBL 1200.1 is 1 ohm stable, and would be the best, cheapest option.  I would go with the 1200.1 and wire the subs in parallel to get a 1 ohm load...like this....

I also agree that the 1200.1 is your best choice

Go with the 1ohm stable amp. I used to run 2 Apline Type R 12 DVCs off a crapy old Sony xm-3001SXD... their clamed 1000 watt amp.(600 in reality). It was the cheapest thing I could find stable to 1 ohm... needless to say, under powered or not, they hit HARD.. and it was a cheap set up.
