I am looking in to purchase a new alarm. I have yet to go to any stores and look at whats new and exciting because they are just going to try and sell me something that I probably don't want. Here is all of my info on what I want and what type of car I have

2000 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5spd manual trans

I do not need remote start

The features I want. Remote trunk,door locks,windows up and down.

I don't know what sensors would be best to have being that I own a convertible perhaps someone here can make some recomendations.

I use Crimestopper alarms, I would get a radar sensor that way if you leave your top down they can`t just reach in and take your stuff without the alarm going off. Look for one with an extra output channel and you can add on the window control module.

Online about $70 for alarm,window roll up or down $35, and for the radar/microwave sensor $29

number one thing about buying an alarm DONT GO CHEAP

I would recommend a Clifford

If you want your windows to roll up and down, there is a part you need and it will run you about $100

Since you own a convertible youd better get a dual zone perimeter sensor.also about $100 (this is needed because it is easy to cut a convertible top and not trigger the shock sensor.)

You may want to pick up a mini piezo siren also $15

Total cost of a complete alarm including install is typically around $1000 but it will save you that in one break-in.

Where you from, I'd Install it if Your Close.

I like cars more than women, because their the perfect challenge.

I live in NJ but I would prob do the install myself.. As I have installed alarms before however I was just curious to see what everyones recomendations as far as product goes. If there was one perticular brand that everyone likes compaird to another. ect.
