i have 2 pioneer 12" 450 watt peak subs in a dual box with a 1200 watt amp..it was playing good like always but suddenly turned off..would the problem be that i blew the amp? is it in protection mode? i tried all the wires and they are all connected in the right places.

What are the RMS values of the Subs and the Amp? Chances are they're not matched up right.

take a small piece of wire and run it from the B+ on the amp to the remote trun on input...that will make the amp turn on, if it does, the amp turn on from your deck has a problem, if not your amp either has internal fuses you need to change, or the amp is actually blown Problem with amp & subs - Last Post -- posted image....but your running a decent sized amp for those subs, so im not sure if that is the case, unless you bridged it too low. to see if its in protection mode, disconect the subs and turn it on, if it turns on, your voice coils in your subs are most likely shot.

You might want to be a little more careful with your gains on that amp this time round!!
