Need seriouse help with '01 Jeep GC Ltd

2001 jeep grand cherokee limited with stock alarm. im tryin to install an aftermarket alarm/starter and it has to be wired into the stock alarm. I need a diagram for the power locks and factory alarm thats in the driver door. i found one diagram that was a 9 wire but my jeep is 12 or 13 i think. also if i unlock with the stock alarm first it sets off the aftermaket alarm b/c the dome light comes on (aftermakret triger is wired to the yellow wire) anyone have any idea how to fix this??? should i wire the aftermarket trigger somewhere else?? is there another wire that would set off the alarm if any of the doors are open? another thing, i could get the aftermarket alarm to lock the doors BUT it turns ON the dome light if i press lock??? and it turns the lights on when i disarm as well.

Did you already do a search here? There are a number of doorlock modules available for those cars that will allow you to do the job properly. DEI's 455J is pretty decent, and transponderbypass.com sells one too.

With most aftermarket systems, they will trigger if you unlock the vehicle with the factory alarm. That is unless your aftermarket alarm has a disarm input. If so, you would need to build an interface that compares driver's door only unlock with all doors unlock using a relay so that your aftermarket alarm won't disarm from the switch on the door. Otherwise, you'll just have to use the aftermarket alarm and keep your factory remote as an emergency backup. If you use a module like Chris mentioned, that would simplify things a bit for you. For example, we sell a similar device from Omega called the DB-JDL-2 for $13.99 plus shipping. It'll control factory alarm arm & disarm as well as doorlocks. Hope this helps.Mike

i dont mind using the factory alarm at the same time. tell me how to wire the aftermaket alarm so it can triger with the doors and so the stock alarm does not set it off. i also can not arm and disarm one alarm with the other.

is that module DB-JDL-2 specifically for the jeep? tell me more about it
