i just installed my remote start yesterday and the wire we believed to be the tach wire on the diagnotic plug is wrong since it overgrinds the motor when starting.. so i started searching for a PURPLE / white wire.. these were closest to the spark plugs. and when then the diagram says PURPLE / white.. is it a purple wire with a white strip or either of those two colors?

i think the tach wire is white at coil.

yeah where would that be? lol.. im car stupid sorta. i just followed the spark plug wires.

It will either be a white wire, or a purple wire with a white stripe. Look for the distributer (where the ignition coil will be). The distributer will be like the "box" or junction where all the spark plug wires plug up to. Then look for a wiring harness going into the distributer and find yer white, or PURPLE / white wire.
