Hi all,
I'm looking at a Pyramid PB449X,1000 Watt 2 Channel Amplifier with the below listed specs.
My question is if this would be a good set up in general and if I can run both speakers bridged on the same channel, i guess run them at 2ohms (not sure this is right, lol). The speakers are 2 JL Audio 12"'s W0 with 125 RMS Power handling each.
Please help.
Thank
---Alex---

I would stay away from Pyramid, save your money and buy a reputable amp. I would suggest that you go with the JBL 300.1 http://www.purecaraudio.com/product.asp?0=200&1=352&3=324 and wire them in parallel to the amp for a 2 ohm load http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html#2svcp (assuming you have the 4 ohm model subs)

Boss amps are just as bad. Trust me you won’t find better bang for you buck, go with the JBL. It will give you a true 300 watts that would be 150 per sub. The boss/ Pyramid might say it will put out 500 watts rms but in reality it will only put out 150 watts of dirty distorted power. But what is your budget?
