well now it is a long post

and the shop I work has 5 store 2-3 insatllers per and not one chick in the installs or the sale or even the staff anywhere

Well Bronco...

That shop is Sexist...I mean where are installers supposed to find woman...I mean sure..we can go to the bars, clubs, etc...but as soon as we wanna work on a system for fun...the usual repsonse is...oh I see, car audio is more important than me....than we either do the dumb thing and say Yup..( guilty as charged, I've done it..) or forget all aobut the system...since it's usually our ride, and they go, well his sounds better than yours, and you're an installer!! And think..well if you'd show some passion for my hobbies, rather than taking my money to go out to eat and shopping, maybe mine would be better...or they complain that we spend too much time in the CAr audio Department of some major stores, even though most of us won't buy from there, we still like to check the stuff out...and they get all bent outta shape, cause we'd rather buy Speakers, Subs, Amps, etc..and our jeans got holes in them..out entire shirt wardrobe consists of Rockford Fosgate, Eclipse, MTX, Pioneer, Panasonic, Stinger, Infintiy, Lightning Audio, Kenwood, Orion, JL Audio, JBL and the list goes on. Why because well WE CAN!! But that's not the in thing to do, it aint' fashionably correct...but since when do Installers care about Fashion.....We care about new Fibergalss Techniques, new products to make our lives easier, Tools ( god bless Mac, Matco, Snap-on, Craftsman and FLuke )...and more importantly What time do the pizza shops close!

Well I hope you all enjoyed my little rant and rave...and got a good laugh outta it, it was for fun...hope it worked...

I gotta go..my girl is having a fit I spent $400 on an amp......and didn't buy the shoes for her she wanted...

LOL...

I agree I wish we would hire a girl or to if for nothing else something to look at

but they still fall into the the deal well people still don't think women can do the

job so they wont buy from one becasue I have had a few chick friends that think it would

be cool to work at the shop I work at and I wish I could get them in it is a fun place to work

the people are good but we need some T/A I mean some of the other installers have dated customers

and I have had a g/f or 2 that doesn't mind my hobby if you can call it that

I'm working on the chick installer issue now I have 2 female trainies :) on the side that is

I help them work on thier cars :)

as for frying people with 12 volts once I get me a crown from jbl I will do just that

I can relate to DeathsJester12v,

I went through the same deal with a previous girl. I now wish that I did spend more time into that car back then. On the other hand they should be glad that we are spending the time into our cars and not somewhere else without them.

yep that is right it was a typo and maybe i did have one two many .well bronco that is cool to have 2 girls training with you, i wish i had a few girls to train.anyways this post is crazy in the end of the year ill see like 10,000 posts,lol.

WoW, I'm at work, I just saw the words girl and installer and have to put in my 2 cents. A lot of girls want to learn how to install and then see no future in the career. But most of them keep up to date with all the cool stuff and know exactly what they want to put in their rides... and yes of course they come to me to install and yes I get suckered... eh. It's al good. Hey any other female installer in NY out there... maybe we can HOOK UP! LoL

My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?
