OK, I have two downloaded wiring diagrams that both agree that a '99 silverado is black but there are three coming from the steering column and all have power, not open circuit that grounds when you hit the horn. Also with an '03 Trailblazer it shows a BLACK / YELLOW wire and that too has power and is not an open circuit that grounds with the horn press. Does anybody know the correct wire for the horn in these vehicles?

Also, the diagram lists the parking lights on a Trailblazer as brown in the big bundle below the steering column, but it is actually the blue/white coming down from the dash area where the light switch cluster is. This sets off two relays under the left rear seat for all of the parking lights.

Hope I can give something back to the group as I find things since I get a lot of help here, thanks.

Duh...never mind! I was testing the horn circuit with the panic mode on the Crimestopper RS900 and was expecting a pulsing signal but the panic mode on this thing is a steady horn so that was throwing me off. Once I tried it using the double unlock press (two horn chirps) I was able to find the correct horn wires and tap into them. All is well in remote land!

Cool, forgot to put the windows on the Trailblazer up but the GMDL1 module rolls them up automagically for you on lock command! Reminds me of the dorky geek guy on the VW commercial that drags his wife out to watch the neat window up thing he discovered on his beetle using the key...come to think of it, the wife slammed the door on me today when I showed her this exact thing!
