I had a customer come by the other day with this vehicle. It has the double din radio/changer in it. He wanted me to install a aftermarket deck in it. I got a install kit and a antenna adapter for the vehicle. I got a Metra 99-9001 but it is just a din faceplate. I called Metra about it and they said I needed the 88-00-9008 kit. I looked it up and it is just a din pocket. So do I combine the two kits to get it to work or what? If anyone has done this install before please let me know what you did to make it work. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the pocket is a snap in setup and will lock into place much like Ford OEM radios. Once you have put the pocket in place, simply cage mount the radio to the upper half of the double din opening.

Thanks alot for the advice. When I got the first kit I was looking at the 2001 model in the Metra book. They didnt do the double din until 02. I will pick that kit up tommorrow morning and install it. Again, thanks alot for the info.
