I've had a suggestion of maybe going with the Alpine SWS-1041 instead of the eclipse SW6102.4. Which do you think would be better. I'm leaning more towards the Eclipse pure as i haven't heard any alpine subs before.

alpine subs are good for the money but i would suggest the r swr vs the sws ,but i havent heard that model eclipse either. only experience i had with eclipse is when i installed in a new box the mag. fell off, the sub was used but not old.

The Alpine will sound a little cleaner but will not come anywhere close to the output of the 6102. If you have to choose between the two you will get the best mix of SPL/SQ out of the Eclipse.

Who knows, eventually I may even give up my RF's for the Eclipse Titanium line or a pair of Diamond Audio's (not anytime soon though). Damn, you all are gonna cost me a fortune Alpine or Eclipse -- posted image.

I used to be die-hard RF all the way (at least as far as amps and subs were concerned), and thought that nothing could beat them. But thanks to a lot of the experts here I've had my eyes opened to new possibilities. I'm still an RF fan, but now at least I'm open to more suggestions!
