When you cut the wire that goes to the starter you will have a starter side of the wire( the end of the wire that goes to the starter) and a key side ( the end of the wire that goes to the ignition cylinder). Look for the wiring under the dash.

of course the starter is not located under the dash, it is in the eng. compartment. The starter does not have to be touched in your application. the starter WIRE is what you want. That is the yellow wire under your dash in the ignition harness. When you cut the wire in half you will have one side that LEADS to the ign. (where you put your key in) and one side that eventually LEADS to the starter. All you have to do is tap the key side into the cut yellow wire that leads to the ignition, and the motor side is the oppisite half of that yellow wire. Hope this helps if not go to your local install center!
