02 trailblazer headlight feature

is there any way to turn the feature that turns on the headlights when you unlock the doors. i really hate this feature. and so do my neighbors. i know you can disable it if you have the instrument cluster that has the scrolling screen. mine dosent have this option. please help

Have you swung by the dealership yet? They "should" be able to change the programing in the BCM to turn the feature off. I know the ignition locks on one model got lots of complaints and the dealership would turn them off. They should not charge you for it since it's a bs option. Usually they'll do something like this free the 1st time but if you come back to turn them back on they'll charge you then.
Yell at them. It's not your fault they installed something that annoys your neighbors without being able to disable it.
Also does then happen even if you set the e-brake

i never even thought about the e brake. its funny you said that because we set the e brake to turn off the light on every car we tint. thank you
