My question is not how to put on vinyl, but how do you go about dying it to match what is already there. Do they make special dyes that you can mix to match colors or what?? I would appreciate the help because I can't find anything close to what I need yet. I need 2 shades of tan for my suburban. Any help would be wonderful.

There a couple different ways to go. First check autozone or pep boys to see if they have a can that matches. Dupli-color makes a good dye. If they do, your in good shape, buy a can and test it on a piece of scrap. You'll need to pick up whats called vinyl "etching" while your there. Its a cleaner that micro scratches the vinyl so the dye will bond, if you dont etch it, it will look lousy, and probably wont last long. If you cant find a manufactured vinyl dye that matches well enough, youll need to go to a automotive paint supply shop. They can color match the vinyl dye for you, although its a bit more expensive than the manufactured dye. The etching is still the same, but youll need to pick up a sprayer. I like to use the type that uses a glass jar, and has a disposable sprayer. This allows you to put a lid on the jar when your done so that you dont waste the dye. Tell the guy at the shop what your doing, and hell tell you how much you need. Hope this helps.

They call it PMS because Mad Cow Disease was already taken.....
