See on the third menu in the install manual (page 26)...shouldn't it be programmed for ENGINE CHECKING TACH?

You are right it should be set for tach...................what is the factory default for this. I didn't change it, so it should be set to the default setting.

Well, you can reprogram it for tach just to be sure. It might have been set incorrectly by mistake.

Can it work if its in the voltage setting and (low).

Well, you might want to see what others on here say...I think it could work in voltage setting, but tach setting is much better. I've never had a problem with a car that was programmed with tach. I'm assuming voltage sensing is similar to "tachless"....that's the other setting that I've seen. I've always gone with tach after having had problems with tachless.
