hello, i am planning on running a pair of MTX 1500 watt amps to 4 - 12" MTX 8k's and along with a MTX 502 amp and another amp to run 2 pairs of 6.5's for my fronts, my question is, i've heard that welding cable will work for my power wire because it's able to handle high current but i've also heard somewhere that there's a prob with useing welding cable for a power wire, anyone know? and what would be a good size wire to run a pair of 2 GA or a single 0 GA wire? and last question, anyone wanna take a guess howloud that will be in a 1995 neon, 2- subs per 2.5 cu/ft box sealed, with prpoer power supply and dynamatthe whole back end.

to hell with welding cable.welding cable is stone age and not made for your application.use a single 0ga brand name (we prefer stinger) you can use cood interconnects and will not pull out your hair trying to install and bend welding cable.the only reason we used welding (battery) cable in the old days is because that is all we had.the only reason for it now is for welding.as far as how loud it will be depends in enclosue type, placement, and build quality.but it should be damn loud.
