A few months ago I installed an Eclipse A/V system into my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. There was a popping noise from the speakers whenever the right passenger window was used. The stereo shop attributed the noise to faulty RCA wires and fixed it. Now the noise has come back...does anyone know what would make RCAs go bad? They used Rockford Fosgate wires for the install...Do A/V systems need special wires?

Is there a speaker in the door?  Have you checked the wiring for it?  Could be a bad speaker wire if it is related to operating the electric wndows.

check to see if the rca's are rubbing/chaffing on the wires for the power window or if the rca's are running parallel to the power wires for the window motor. if they're running parallel or around the wires then try moving them and see if it continues as  rca's are very suseptable to power wire noise.
