power caps

What I want to do is have a battery on a power inverter to power a 27" tv and possibly a floor fan.I thought that I could just snatch the system out of my vehicle, wich is the battery, power cap and, inverter. would this be a good set up. I do some floor shows and I wanted some entertainment that would last, would this work? or  are there any better ways to do this. All opinions are helpful. Thank you

a capacitor won't do a thing for a television really.. what you want to do is run one or an array of deep-cycle batteries like Optima yellow-tops, then find a high-output alternator to charge them, sufficient cable to carry the current to do so, and look at an RV supply shop for a high-output voltage inverter like they use to power such things in an RV.-GlassWolf
