I have just successfully installed a Solaris on my 97 Grand Prix GTP.  This is a big deal for me since it is the first time I have ever installed an alarm/auto-start.  Clifford Solaris and Grand Prix OEM alarm - Last Post -- posted image.  Anyway, everything works fine except the OEM alarm does not arm and disarm with the Clifford.  It just stays disarmed.  I would like to get this to work, so I am turning to you guys for help.  What do I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks in advance!

Griz

The info I have says the factory alarm will only arm with either the factory remote, or with a lock signal with the door open. Seems you'll have to arm with the drvr door open and then shut it. The OEM disarm is ORANGE\BLACK(-) and should be found in a 10-pin cnx in the drvr kick. You can just tap into your neg. unlock sinal(isolate w\diodes).

c2deez,

Thanks for the info.  When you say "isolate with diodes", how do I wire that up?

Thanks,

Griz
