I was gonna buy these subs cause i hear that they deliver some serious BASS.  It's the Digital Design or DD 9500 series.  Anyone use them or heared them in action?  I wanna know if they are what they say.  Also, they need 2000+ watts, so any suggestions on amps?  I might have to go with two of the rockford power 1000 db, but the THD is high.

they're very good subs. rank up there with MMATS.
They don't require 1Kw each, they can just take up to that much.
a JL Audio 500/1 should be plenty to power a pair of those.

Check out the dbdrag.com website.  There are a few guys who use them in their systems at competitions in my area.  I have not heard them yet.  You can search for competitions in your area and see who is coming to them.  The See Who's Coming button on their web page will show you who is coming to competitions in your area and will shows pictures of their cars and list the equipment that they use.

Thanks guys for the info.  The only problem is that i'm gonna need 2kw for each sub.  I mean, i could still run those subs with less power but i want to go for the full effect.  anyone use DD subs? -- posted image.  The place i'm getting it from, they do competitions.  Only problem, they usually come to the mainland so i haven't heard them in action.  Their lates project is 4 15's and 30kw's.  I just want an everyday use and not a one time deal and so i'm open to suggestions.

you don't NEED that much power really. hell I ran a par of 12" subs with 320WRMS total and it'd blow ya out of the car. resonated so much you couldn't see out the car straight.. on rainy days it'd blow the water back out of the doors through the rubber seals at the windows.. it was crazy high SPL. and clean.
anyway look at a JL 500/1 amp for each sub if ya want lots of power, or US AMPS makes a truly HUGE amplifier you may consider as well... lots of choices for big clean power.

heh yeah or an Orion HCCA amp, stable to .5 or .25 ohms depending on the model.
I'm looking at a 225HCCA myself for 4 12" subs. 25WRMS x 2ch @ 4 ohms
with 4 DVC subs on it, it'll be .25 ohms mono bridged, at 800WRMS
