I have a cheap 80 watt RMS amp. I use it to drive 12" JBL running at 4 ohm in bridge mode. My sub have 80-250 RMS. Suddenly the protection led is on.

Is my amp damage? In this case, what is usually damage?

Check all of your connection and make sure that nothing is grounding or lose.  If nothing is lose and you are able to check your subs and they are good it's your amp.

Your amp can be just another victim of circumstance and cheap manufacturing.

Diagnosis, if you amp is real cheap it may be cheaper to get a new one.

Remove power to the amp, disconnect the sub, and turn the gains down. Then turn reapply power to the amp. If you had the gains set too high trying to "max" your power then you probably caused the amp to go into Clipping. If the above does not correct the problem, then you may have to get it checked out (or as fuseblower said you might want to look into a different amp).
