I want to drive a pair of 12" JBL, running on 2 ohm. My subs recomended power is 80-250 RMS.

What kind of amp should I use?

JBL BP300.1. I have found it cheapest at ikesound.com. At 2 ohms it runs at 300Watts RMS

Actually, if the subs are 250RMS each, then you want an amp capable of producing at least 500RMS (because he said "pair"). I'd suggest the JBL BP600.1 or 2 of the JBL BP300.1 amps

no biggie at all. The JBL BP300.1 was a great amp to recommend, it was just the quantity that was off a litle!

I have 2 12w6 JL subs and have been running them on a Alpine V12 amp MRV-1000 with the Alpine 9807 head unit and it pounds.

The V12's are a good series, I believe they are Alpine's premere line.

Does JBL BP600.1 makes significant result with JBL300.1?

(1) JBL BP600.1 would be the approximate equilivant of (2) JBL BP300.1 amps
