Plese help with Amp Specs

Hi everone, i am currently looking at this amp, A sony Xplod XM-2150GSX.

I have an Mtx 8000, 4 ohm, 400 watts rms speaker in a bandpass 4th order enclosure. This amp pumps 380 watts bridged 4 ohm. What confuses me is this line in the specs "• Rated outputs (Supply voltage at 14.4V)". What does 14.4 V supply voltage mean? Arent car batterys only 12 V? I have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer. Thanks for the help. Also, does this amp have 'high level' inputs? i mean i am gonna be using speaker wires to hook the sound from the stock head unit to the amp and not RCA cables. Does this amp have the inputs for my application? Thanks alot, Bassam.

Well you are correct in saying that a car battery is 12volts. But once you take into account the cars alternator once the car is running your car is supplied with around about 13.8 volts. So basically you will get a little less power out of the amp then rated there.
That amp does have line level inputs.

Yes it does have high level inputs. If you read the description, the 9th bullet down says line level (RCA) and speaker level (high level) inputs.

Oh, i see how this works! DO u guys think that this will dim the lights in the car when bass notes hit? since its supplying less power than needed?

It is hard to tell if your amp will cause your lights to dim.
