powercode pc 32 with dna chip/card

Hi I truly in the need of some help. I currently am installing an alarm in my 99 taurus se and I almost complete the install with help the only problem is I cant for the world of me install the horn output wire. I have a powercode which is designed for ford motor company. I used a multimeter to check the horn wire. I cut it in have and the horn stop working. I check it with a reading of 12.37 volts when I honk the horn it drop all the way down. The problem is when I connect the alarm horn relay output wire to this wire it make a weird sizzling noise and usually burns the entire system. I have no idea what wrong? Could the relay inside the module be burn out. Anyone please help thank you kindly!! Babyshoar

thank Jeff for the reply I could sure use some help. I asked myself the same question when I looked at my wire harness sheet it only indicated that the wire is a horn relay output it doesnt mentioned if it's + or -. ford indicated just as you mentioned the the wire is a low output wire but of course I had no idea what he was talking about. So your saying I defintly need a relay to trigger the horn honk right? or should I find out from them if its + or a Neg. output thanks! babyshoar

HI ford said the wire from the module is a ground and he mentioned that I need a relay to convert. what ever that means.ar
