Vehicule is a VW Golf 2000, w/o power windows.

I have the alarm in place and functioning, but not like it should be.

After I arm the alarm it always reports me that a door is open even though both of them are closed.  My door contact switchs are working fine also..

I narrowed down the problem to this situation:

door is open, volt meter (-) connected to the BROWN / yellow wire for the driver door I get a signal, which is fine.

door is closed, volt meter (-) connected to the same wire, I get no signal, which is also fine.

Now, here's the tricky part... I arm the factory alarm using my key fob and the the signal comes back... saying the door is open.. the dome light is off in the door.

By the way the unit I'm installing is a Hornet 700T, factory keyless upgrade.

Is there another wire I'm supposed to use?

My 2 doors are diode isolated so I know that is not causing any problem.

Hey bub, these are the colors I use

Door 1

18ga. BROWN / Yellow (-) (driver door) at Gray connector (power window models are multiplexed and the door triggers exist only in each door as

Door 2

20ga. BROWN / Blue (-) (passenger door) at same BROWN / White, so use interior light instead for door trigger even with the delay unless

Door 3

20ga. BROWN / White (-) (rear doors) at same otherwise requested)

Door 4

Interior Lights

18ga. Blue/White (-) (may appear as Blue/Gray) at same (1 of 2 this color)

Trunk/Hatch

20ga. BROWN / Black (-) at same

Hood Pin

18ga. BROWN / Red (-) at Brown connector

I'll try to get the interior light for the contact switch instead...

I also need to have the trunk bypass feature working so I can open my rear lid without having the alarm triggered.  Right now I have a relay connect to the BROWN / black release switch from the lid.  I need a relay here cause the alarm is expecting a (+) and this wire is (-).  It seem to bypass it, but when I close tthe lid, it triggers the alarm right away... its actually suposed to delay 3 seconds then start monitoring again.

Thanks for your help.
