Im wondering if there is a way to hook up my dj equipment to my car and run it off of the car.  I know I can just run rca's to the deck but where do I get the power from?  I saw a power converter today at costco and it said you can run a computer of of it so maybe this would work.  I might add that I want this safe to where im not hurting any component in both the dj equipment and the car audio.  Have any of you guys out there done this or equivalent?

i'd say get one of those invertors, the most powerful one u can find and also get one of those computer UPS to make sure the power being supplied to ur equipment is constant and not surging all over

also make sure that you get the 12 volt and ground right at the battery with 4 gauge wire you must should also get an inverter that has an earth ground as well. I will hook up my decks to my car with my inverter by the end of next week and let you know how it works. I install the inverters for Progressive insurance company in my area, and every inverter they gave me that did not have both a battery ground and an earth ground had bad powere regulation problems. i wish i could explain why, but they switched to new inverters and have not had any problems yet, i can get specs for you if you want. they run laptops and printer/faxes off of these inverters.
