I am trying to bypass the clutch on this truck. The problem is that the clutch switch has 6 wires on it. I have not done this before and was wondering if anyone else has? Everything else works fine. Thanks in advance.

I've only seen the one or two-wire clutch switches. I would think you're only gonna need to use two out of the six wires, but I don't know which one's either. Sorry.

You have to test the wires to see if it's a (-) or a (+) type clutch activation. Use these links to help you distinguish between the two:

I did check the wires and they ohmed to ground. There is a wire that goes to ground when the clutch is pressed in. There is also a wire that disconnects from ground when the pedal is pushed in. I wired a relay up 85 to 12 volts, 86 to (-)when running 87 to wire (on switch)with constant ground and 30 to wire that recives ground when pedal is pushed. Using this circuit I ended up blowing the 10 amp ignition fuse. That leads me to belive that maybe the wires rest at ground but are actually a positive switch. (does that make sense?) Anyway, I also dont understand why I have so many wires at the switch. I dont have cruise or anything speacial on the truck. I even looked up the factory wiring circuit on the Mitchel computer program and it did not even show a switch like mine. It was showing the 2 wire switch. Thanks for your input,I will try somthing again tommorrow.
