All should be passlock 2 exept maybe the 98 grand prix.  If it has a black pellet in the key it has passkey.

the sunfire, grand am and alero have Passlock II.  The grand prix has Passlock III.  And very likely a content theft system that needs to be controlled as well.

The Grand Prix I dont think has an anti-theft device. The Pass-Key III did not come out until 2000 in the grand prix. The key will kave a PK3 on it right if it does. I believe the rest are Passlock II.

since 1997, PKIII has been on the Grand Prix's.  It might have been only the GT's etc, but the GP definitely had PKIII....not all the keys have PKIII stamped on them, even if it does exist.
