Hi
1. I installed the Galaxy 5000RS2W on my GMC Jimmy 2000. It looks like everything I hooked up is right. The only things that work is the parking light and the only door that open and the alarm go on when I armed the system the driver’s door. Can’t open the car with my remote. This car has the factory alarm installed.
2. Remote start doesn’t work. The key that I had for this car doesn’t have the black plastic cover thing or any chip on the top so I don’t know do I still need the bypass or not.
3. Is anyone here have the wiring chart for this car?
Thank You

I believe you have passlock 2 on that vehicle. You can tell by looking for 3 small wires exiting the ignition switch by the lock cyl (red, yel, blk). It is also faily involved to hook up to locks. Not sure how you did yours. You could get a databus module for the jimmy which makes the locks a no brainer. I think a Passlock2 bypass databus unit would work on your '00 also. These are very simple to connect and very reliable.

door lock wires are blue and white positive trigger at the bcm in a brown plug.  disarm wire is light green also at the bcm. in a purple plug.  bcm is in panel to the right of the gas pedal.  connectors face driver side.  also has passlock 2 and you do need a bypass module.  there is no databus module for 2000.... if you still need all the wire colors and locations i will email them to you if you want....

There is definately databus module for passlock 2 for 2000. It goes back to at least 97. I have not searched for one for lock though.

not to argue with you but there is no DATABUS module for 2000.  there is PASSLOCK modules but there is no need for a DATABUS module.  Databus modules are used on tie into factory databus line.  sending binary signals to the factory computer telling it to lock or unlock arm disarm ect.  in 2000 jimmy still uses old technology factory switches sending 12v to factory relays.  therefore all that you need to do is tap the factory switch wires that trigger the factory relays.
