I have to leave for about an hour or so, I will try to get back to you ASAP. If someone else decides to help then I'll just check up and see when I come back.

I can't find any reference to a 1985 Mercedes 500 SEC model anywhere !!! So far this is what I cam up with as far as a realy configuration:

Relay # 1:

  • 85 : 12 volt constant
  • 86 : Alarm input wire ( - ) output ( LOCK/unlock )
  • 30 : Green wire to Pump
  • 87 : Ground
  • 87a: Output of 30 from relay # 2

Relay # 2 :

  • 85 : 12 volt constant
  • 86 : Alarm input ( - ) output ( LOCK/unlock )
  • 30 : To 87a of relay # 1
  • 87 : 12 Volts
  • 87a: GREEN wire from door

Ones diagram says that the N/O for the pump relay is a ground and one says that the N/O relay is a 12 volt +. The one above is a ground when the pump relay is N/O, but the 12 volt diagram is 12 volts when N/O.

that's the owner's manual, i already have it.  i have the installation pages too, but it doesn't show how to wire the alarm to operate vacuum locks.  Jeff has helped immensely, I'm gonna try his suggestion tomorrow.  thanks anyway

i tried the new diagram and i stll don't get power to the pump.  It's basically the same as the mercedes diagram i faxed you except the the 85's and 86's are switched, would that make a difference?  what basically happens, when i connect the relay, the blue and green wires show 12v.  when i arm it, the green drops a volt or 2 for a split second and the blue goes to ground for 3sec.  when i disarm the green drops to ground for 3sec while the blue does nothing.  i'll try switching the 85's and 86's and see what happens.  i just want it so when i arm, i get a +12v going to the pump.  and ground when i disarm.
