Amp for 3 Fosgate HX2 10`s

I have 3 DVC 4ohm subs (HX2 10in.) and i need an amp for them..i want to stay with fosgate for the amp also, but im not sure which one i need. My question is, how do you determine which amp will work with which sub? the subs are rated at 500wRMS and 1000wPEAK....so im assuming i need 500w on each sub, right? so does that mean i need an amp that says it will produce 1500wRMS? @ 2 ohm (subs wired in series-parallel). or can you look at the peak output?With a torch and a big enough hammer...it WILL friggin fit!!

Since you have 3 DVC 4ohm hx2's, I would say look for an amp that has about 1700wRMS @ 2ohms, since if you wire the 3 subs in series/parallel, you are looking at a 2.67ohm final impedance. I believe there is a way to wire the 3 subs so that the final load is 2ohms, but the power to each speaker would be different, and one or two may recieve more than 500wRMS. Here is a diagram for series/parallel wired subs. The whole point of wiring this way is for each speaker to recieve the same amount of power. If you don't mind putting a little over 400wRMS to each speaker and you want Rockford, I would suggest the Power 1500bd or 1501bd.
