I have toyota camry 2000.

I heard that toyota camry 2000 needs a bypass for remote stater.

But I have 3keys(they come togeter when I buy a new car.)

the head of One key is covered by plastic.

But, the heard of the other keys are just metalic head (bare).

these keys look like no chip in the key. (but they are working very well when starting car)

I heard that chip is in the key. So, I just would like know that My car needs bypass in this case.

thank you

Juni~!

Some do and some don't, seeing that you have two bare metal keys I would say that you don't.

some models come with immobilizer system, where you would have to use the DEI 555U or 555F to bypass i would also say if you have a regular metal key that you dont have that option, but try starting the car with one see if anything out of the ordinary happens.

I believe the only Camry trim to have a transponder is the XLE, at least the new ones??
