Hi there, I am trying to install a set of driving lights in my car.  It is a 2001 Nissan Sentra Xe.  The holes are there and it looks like there is already factory wiring ( lights were a option).  Do you think I can use these wires and just install a fuse and swith??? or should I just use the wires that came with the lights I purchased.???

If the complete harness is in place, save yourself some grief and use the factory wiring. I don't speak Nissan very well (a by product of playing with Citroens all my life) but I will bet the factory light switch either has a setting for the lamps, or you can get the factory switch fairly easily, if not cheaply.

You may also have to buy the factory relay. Just so long as you aren't trying to drive, say, a set of Cibie SuperOscars the factory wiring should cover you.

You would have to find the wires on the inside too or the wires on the outside don't do you any good. Also there should be a blank spot in the fuse box for the factory fogs. Basically it comes down to how much time you want to put into these things. If you want to have them on and functional in an hour just wire everything up yourself. If you want a nice clean factory look, do some research and see how close you can get. Course that will take a lot more time..Good luck

Hi there.  I wired the lights in.  They are working now.  But I want to use the factory set up.  Here is what I found the wire harness and everything is in place from the factory.  There are 2 empty fuse slots under the hood for left/right driving ligh, t on the other side of the engine compartment there is a black box with a empty slots for what looks like a relay.  The slot is market drving lights.  The only thing missing I think would be the switch.  So if I hook my lights to the factory wires, add fuses and relay, plus switch.  They should work.  Is this the way to go??? Thank You for you help

Anthony
