I would like to install a stater interupt on my 2001 chevy silverado 1500 with crimeguard alarm. the reason i would like to is to utilize the anti carjacking features. will this cause any problems with passkey or anything later with remote start? or do i need to do anything special to accomplish this. NEWBIE here so any help would be appreciated. thanks..
PS. am i the only one that gets nervous when cutting the starter wire?? hahastater interupt help? -- posted image.

Should be straight forward, done lots of alarms on gm passkey vehicles and no problems encountered. As far as remote start goes that's a whole different topic, one to cover when you are ready with the remote starter.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
