I was doing research to put a remote starter in my 99 Grand Prix GTP, and when I did a lookup in the Vehicle Wiring Database for 99 Pontiacs, it comes back with 2 different selections for the Grand Prix's.  Does anyone know the models they pertain to?

Grand Prix #1 has only 2 wires for the Ignition

Grand Prix #2 has 3 wires for the Ignition and also has seperate unlock/lock wires for the doors.

Since I am installing a remote starter, I'd like to know how many Ignition wires I need to connect.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

the white wire(Instrument cluster & Shifter solenoid) and the main pink wire MUST be powered. The orange wire is optional, it powers the heat/AC.

just hook up all three to be safe. This information came from The Book VII(omega)

also, the lock and unlock wires are separate, Light blue for lock, white for unlock, at the 16 pin connector in the drivers kick panel, they are both negative pulse
