Headrest Monitors 2003 F350

I have read alot about putting monitors in detachable headrests. I would like to put them in my 2003 F350, but the headrests are built in. I would really like to hear from anyone that has done this. Thanks

I have done it before. I just made a wooden frame and pushed it up behind the seat cover. Then used a small bolt between the monitor and wood frame to hold everything in place, basically the bolt was attached to the monitor and ran through the vinyl/leather and then through a hole in the wood frame and that secured it in place. It was kinda hard to get it to look good but it did work.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

That sounds like a tough install, probably beyond me. What about the flip down overhead systems? I see lots of them on the market, but my head liner is not flat. It has a large support that drops down about 2". Can standard systems be made to fit, or are there specfic housings for my truck?

 I have done it into a lexas sc-300. What i found is that if you buy the headrest mouting kit with the t.v. and find a way to anker the t.v. you can just make the cut for the fit and slide it in. Now the wiring should be done first because it is an absolute pain. You can do this by getting something to wire with such as a coat hanger and run it down to the bottom of the seat and pull it through. This will take a while to do but it can be done.tell me how it goes.

first you have to cut the material in an X shape. there is a metal plate that goes across the top of the chair. screw in the shroud to the metal plate then put the tv in the shroud , it is as simple as that if you have any problems call me at 602-722-9547
