i would like to know if there is any way of disconnecting the factory alarm because i have an aftermarket alarm i just put on it. and also somehow disconnecting the daytime running light feature on my vw golf.

As far as the daytime running light thing goes, I think you can get a european switch for your car, that allows you to have any combination of lights on.
check out ecstuning.com -- or you might have to search for the euro switch. It should be a stock replacement, hopefully.
