i have a 2000 dodge durango.   i'm thinking of installing a viper 550 w/remote start alarm system.  i would like to know do i need a bypass for this vehicle.  it has a remote lock and unlock with panic, but i can open the door and start the vehicle with the keys without any problems.  the vehicle does have an ignition card key below the dash, which if removed will cause the vehicle to stall.  also, is the viper 550 i have chosen a good alarm, or is there another alarm just as good or better for the money --- name brands are not as important to me as quality ---.   any help would be greatly appreciated.  new comer!  thanks - murphy286
