Hornet 554T vs. Valet 554R opinions

I will be getting an alarm for my car soon and had my mind made up on the Hornet. I found a local shop that could get it for $135 if I did the install myself which I was planning on anyway. Now after poking around the net for a while it has come to my attention then the Valet 554R is the replacement for the Hornet.

I can't find anything on the Directed website about the Hornet anymore other than the owners and install manuals. And the directed site has been running very slowly for me the past few days.

I read on Asianwolf.com, I think, that the Valet is the same exact alarm as the Hornet but it has a few extra options. Can anybody verify what these features are exactly and what they do? And if the price on the Valet model is considerably more than that of the Hornet is it worth spending the extra money just for these new features?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, a search for info about the Valet system did not lead to many results. Thanks in advance.
