Sorry for the stupid question ladies and gentlemen, but i'm new to the relay world and never used one.....but i wanted to use a relay to turn my dvd system, and tv once my radio turns on. How can i do this? I'm thinking i should wire the

87 to 12V (amp fuse?)

86 to remote turn on lead

85 ground

30 to the loads with a fuse wire for each individual load (or in this case the dvd system and tv/lcd)

OR.....should i just run a relay prior to the radio ,dvd system, and tv from the ignition?

Just use this diagram, the outputs can be for anything and doesn't have to be fans.

ok i just had to confirm ifi was using this diagram correctly or not.....it just never specified. I just thought they used cooling fans as an example cause they're low current....and assumed that my lcd dvd player and other devices requires high current. Thanks again for confirming.....

You can have upto thirty amps worth of power off of one relay. So just add up the fuses on the equiptment, and if they equal less then thirty you are good. Also after you add up the fuse values put an appropriate fuse on the power input to the relay.
