I have an 03 f150 v8 fx4, and i installed a hornet remote start/2way.

i used the 555f for the bypass...after ironing out a few bugs everything worked perfectly, but no i have a weird problem..

every once in a while, i'll try and start the truck (with remote start and or the key it dont work) but when i put the key in the ignition,, the theft light blinks and the truck will crank but not start.....THEN if i adjust the tilt on the steering wheel all the way up, take the key out and try again, it works everytime...this only has happened like 3 times, but its annoying none the less....

i initaially assumed it was just the remote start "bulb", but if that was teh case, then why would the key not work??

any ideas?

Sounds like your wiring for the PATS is loose or something. Did you solder your conenctions or use crimps ? Re-check all connections to the module and make sure that there are no loose connections.
