Going to be installing Crimestopper Rs900VI in my 00- Chevy. I have Crimestoppers GMATAII  bypass. Could someone tell me where the Passslock module is located and any other tips for an amateur?

Thanks for any info.

Thats a really easy truck to install on.   I would not use the GMATA, I would get a PLDATA, which is easier to install and more reliable.  Also the locks on your truck are + and the output from the RS900 is -.  You can convert to + with relays or get a door lock module (cs-6600 or DEI 451M).  The GMATA has pretty good directions, I have run into a few problems when using that module.  Here is the wiring diagrams and locations for your truck.  Post on how you do..

Notes:

NOTE: If you have a 2000 Classic Pickup, refer to the 1998 Full Size Pickup.  NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. Use DEI part 555t or 555L.  *1 The BCM is located behind the drivers side of the dash. The plugs on the BCM face towards the rear of the vehicle. The parking lights are in pin A5 and the headlights are in pin A11.  *2 Use tan for the drivers door located in pin B4 of the purple plug, and for the passenger door it will be a orange in pin B2 in the purple plug or dk.blue/white in pin B11 of the lt.blue plug, must diode isolate these wires.  *3 ECM is located near the battery, down low, between the fender and the fan under the black plastic cover. On the 4.3L, the tach wire is at pin 20 in the connector labeled 'red', and VSS wire is at pin 3 in the connector labeled 'black'. On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the tach wire is located at pin 10 in the 'red' connector, and VSS wire is located in pin 50 of the 'red' connector.  *4 Also found in the purple plug of the BCM.  *5 Diesel wait to start wire is dk. blue (-) located at the instrument cluster 'see direct fax document #1090'.

Oh... and solder all your connections.  And do not use the "Smart tachless mode" on your truck.  I have installed MANY RS-900's, and 90% of the time the tachless mode works good, but not on Chevy trucks.

Thanks for all your help Haku. I have the starter wired in just need to do the bypass, hopefully tonight. I more question : does the green wire from the Rs900 "(-) start activation input" end up getting connected to the yellow wire of Gmata "(-) ign input (ground when running)"? And sorry one more White wire from Gmata "additional ign output for white or green wire at column" connects to ign 2?

Thanks again for all your help.

No, you do not use the green wire from the RS-900.  You use the yellow/black from the RS-900, its a - ouput when running.   The green wire is an input to the unit to activate start from another source.  And if  remember correclty, you dont need to hook up the white wire from the GMATA.

Thanks again. I guess i'm in over my head. Does green from rs900 "(-) start activation input"  need to be connected at all? If so to what?

Thanks again,

It does not need to be connected.  It is another start activation input, and not needed. (If that wire sees a negative pulse it will start your truck)  And NO, you are not over your head.  You will have no problems.

Thanks alot. Working on it now. Your a life saver. Someone told me not connecting the white wire from Gmata "additional ign. output for white or green wire at column" would cause the security light to stay on . Make any sense?

Thanks again,

Arbour

you donot need to connect the white from gmata  but you do hook the pink|white from your 900 to the white ig2 (small white ) at ig harness and make sure the jumper is in the ig2 position
