I own a 99 Pontiac Grand Am and wondering if anyone has a clue to why part of my heater controls do not function.  The 1 and 2 position for the blower are not operable and the selector for AC, Max AC, Vent, Vent/Floor, Floor, Floor/Defrost, Defrost do not change.  They all just blow out every hole in the car.  Any suggestions?

For the position selector it sound like you have a vacuum leak or busted vacuum line, I know it is common in the astro vans. For the blower motor, first thing to try is to replace the blower motor relay, there will probably be on at the fuse box.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

If a couple of your blower speeds are not working this is more than likely the ballast resistor, often mounted in the air inlet ducting in order to keep it's heatsink cool but i can't say for sure on your vehicle as i'm in the UK but you could follow the wiring from the blower switch or ask your local friendly, dealer where it's located.
