Get a box (cardboard) and get the volume if it for about every 2 inches and then fill your glass box with packaging popcorn. take the popcorn from the glass box and put it in the cardboard box.
dream it, build it, fiberglass it

if it's all fiberglass, just fill it with water.  that won't hurt it.  then fill liter bottles with that water till the box is empty.  You can easily convert liters to cubic feet, and i'm sure that conversion equation is on this website.  I've seen this process done many times, and it's the most accurate.

i would not suggest getting the sub ring, which most likly is MDF (absorbs water), wet.
dream it, build it, fiberglass it

best way is to line the box with a heavy garbage bag then fill it with water.  That way it's accurate and you preserve the enclosure.  The only down fall you is don''t know how much volume until it's built
