Hi, this is my first time here. I'm good with 12v wiring and I know my way around a vehicle, but I'm need of help on this matter.

I already have an underbody kit wired to my battery and a toggle switch, in my 03 ION2. When the dome light switch is in the "door" position, the dome light comes on when the remote keeless entry is used to unlock the door and also when the door is opened. Then when the door has been closed for 30 secs the light fades out. What I want to do is have my underbody lights come one when my door is opened and go off when the door has been closed for 30 secs, and also be able to use my toggle switch whenever I want to. I've gone over this with a couple of friends, and the thought of diodes and relays came up. I'm not too familiar with diodes or relays. Can anyone help with this?

Using the relay below just wire the door trigger as the (-) Trigger input and the output to the power wire to the neon's. Don't forget to put a fuse on it.
