Does anyone know where the factory installed alarm unit is physically located in a 1994 Ford Explorer?

Mine is acting like it's dying, and I want to get my mitts on the beast. Until then, it's the rush between the honking horn, putting the key in the ignition and pressing the override switch.

I am not looking for the wiring diagram, just the physical location of the alarm in the vehicle.

should be by the keyless module in the rear of the suv. Probably already posted but if it has keyless entry, the module is located in the left rear quarter panel

I will start disasembling the rear of the vehicle in search of the hidden unit.

I take it the left side is the passenger side, not the driver side?

I have the two door model, and if the keyless module means that by using my remote, the doors unlock or lock, then I should expect to find two units kind of close to each other.
