Hey all,

I've got an older Omega alarm that I had in my older car and recently installed into my 92 Civic Si 3door hatchback. I've had the alarm in for quite some time but just recently have had problems with my transmitter. It seems as though the alarm in the car doesn't get the signal. I just changed the battery and this didn't solve the problem. Should I buy a new transmitter or should I scrap the alarm all together and buy a new one ? I am currently using Keyless Entry as my only option other then a standard alarm and would love to have it work properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if it were me, i would break out the manual and see how to reprogram the rmote. Erase all the old transmitters and reprogam them back in. see if they work. If you're getting poor range try playing with the antenna.

turn on the ignition and press the valet button 5 times and you will get a chirp from the siren. At that time press one button at a time on each remote and this will reprogram the remotes. Do one remote at a time.
