I have it hooked up and it seems to be working correctly. But I have seen many different Wire Charts for this vehicle and just want to verify I have it connected correctly. Here is how I hooked it up:

2003 Silverado

STARTER - yellow
IGNITION - pink (12 awg)
SECOND IGNITION - white
THIRD IGNITION - pink (18 awg)
ACCESSORY - orange
SECOND ACCESSORY - brown

Some other wire charts did not have the  third ignition wire listed, and I heard that some ppl were missing a wire and the tranny computer wasn't coming on and they were cooking their tranny.

Anyone verify this?  Thanks

The wire charts i have. There is no third ignition. I know if you donn't power the 2nd one, you will cause the tranny to throw codes and become damaged. Everything seems correct. Try testing the third ignition with a multimeter and see where it gets power and then juts wire it up to mimic it.

Looked at 3 charts and no 3rd ign. Just meter it and see what you get.

3 rd IGN is usually the BROWN wire for the wiper's. Not necesarry for RS. If you got a check engine light it's because the the 2nd IGN wasn't powered up or the starter wire needs to be isolated from the RS unit.

When those trucks first cam out, DEI listed them as requiring 3 ignitions and 2 acc. After a few months they dropped the 3rd ignition (18 awg pink) wire from the chart. I've probably done 10 since then without using the 3rd ignition and they've all been fine. I've heard from other installers the brown (2nd acc) wire isn't even necessary, but never tried not using it myself.
